Peugeot 3008
Connected 3D Nav Standard Key features: Nav, phone connectivity
WE’VE mentioned one of the main frustrations of the 3008’s set-up, the integrated climate controls, so let’s concentrate on some positives. You get plenty of kit, with navigation, a reversing camera, Apple Carplay and Android Auto to match the Tucson’s tally. The Peugeot also features a digital dash panel, which is configurable to show nav directions and other info.
This system works well. However, the graphics are no crisper than the Hyundai’s and the screen takes even longer to respond on occasion, lacking the processing power to handle multiple fast inputs.
The phone connectivity is smooth and both main apps project well on the screen. The piano-style keys for the main areas of the system match the Hyundai’s, but add a little more style; we’d still like separate controls for the air-con, though. Wireless charging is available for an affordable £120 to boost the tech on offer.
Screen Using the display to change the air-con is a bugbear and it can lag. However, the Peugeot’s set-up works well and the smartphone connectivity is good
