Q Buying handy light bulb tool I NOTICED the tool your tester was using to change a light bulb (Issue 1,580) in the Product Awards and thought it looked like a good idea. Any tips on where I can buy one? Lucas Johnson, E-mail

A THE grips came from my own tool box and were part of a kit Philips used as a dealer incentive some years ago. I was lucky enough to be given one to try, so I don’t have a retail source for them. But an internet search revealed that Euro Car Parts (www.eurocarparts.com) offers a similar, if not the same, kit for £12.99.

Q Am I right to go cordless? MY angle grinder and drill are coming to the end of their lives, because I’ve had them many years. Both are mains-powered, but I’m considering switching to cordless. Is this a good idea? John Mackay, E-mail

A THE decision to go cordless will largely depend on how you use your power tools. If you work for long periods cutting, grinding and drilling, then stick with mains power, because this never runs out. Cordless tools are great for short-term use, but there will be downtime while batteries cool and charge if they are worked for long periods.

Q Getting right tyre pressure I’VE just bought a new Suzuki Jimny and fitted 215/75R15 BF Goodrich KO2 100 S tyres. The dealer said they should run at 32psi but the doorshut label said 26psi. Which one is correct? Ken Jones, E-mail

A WE contacted BF Goodrich, who confirmed the tyre swap falls within the ETRTO (European Tire and Rim Technical Organisation) guidelines of the outside diameter being between -2 and +1.5 per cent of the standard tyre. As a result, it says the tyre should run at 26psi. It recommends checking actual axle loads to confirm, because the tyre will carry 920kg on each axle at 26psi.
