MALE grooming is coming to your car, thanks to a link between ‘the UK’s numberone male deodorant and shower brand’ Lynx and retail giant Halfords.
Promising to keep your car “fresh and cool for up to 30 days”, the air fresheners will feature five Lynx fragrances in a range of car-friendly formats under a deal brought together by Custom Accessories Europe, the people behind the popular and test-winning Jelly Belly air freshener products.
Lynx Africa has been around for more than a decade and features spices and aromas from the continent; Black is infused with watermelon, rosemary and bergamot notes, while Ice Chill has essences of frozen mint and lemon. Dark Temptation, meanwhile, mixes the heady combination of citrus, spice and patchouli-infused gold, as well as the sweetness and spice fragrances of chocolate and red peppercorn.
The quartet will be available in five formats, starting with scented discs at £2.99, designed to hang off the rear-view mirror. Next are the £3.49 mini vent units, which give some control to the fragrance release because they clip over heater and air-con outlets. For £3.99 you get a larger version made from a ceramic material to clip over vents. For the same price you can go for the gel can option, which is designed to be dropped in a cup holder, door pocket or under the seat for long-lasting fragrance. Top of the range are refillable vent fresheners, at £7.49, which use sticks for long-term scent.
