Zero to 60mph in 8.7sec may not sound impressive, but this Twingo has more than its share of Renaultsport magic to compensate. It’s a hoot to drive on twisty roads and the 131bhp 1.6-litre motor has plenty of pep. Even so, many overlook it for its mild performance figures and that makes it a great used deal. Reckon on spending from as little as £2750 for a cared-for Twingo RS. Another £500 bags the even more tautly controlled Cup model with 75,000 miles on the clock. Check for work to the front ball joints and that the electrics work, because water can get into them. Tick those off and you have a brilliant bundle of fun.
