Electric shock

Is electric the future or is it already here? I recently took a 6500-mile road trip from Southport, North Carolina, to Seattle, Washington, and back. In the process, I saw two pure-electric cars, both Teslas and both in Seattle.

I also spotted a grand total of one public charging device, that being at a hotel in Spokane. Build the necessary extensive and expensive infrastructure, and maybe they will come. Meanwhile, internal combustion will prevail.
