FORD MUSTANG 2.3 ECOBOOST

- MS

Price £36,645 On sale Now What’s new? Retuned suspension, uprated interior and some engine tweaks FORD’S ENTRY-LEVEL Mustang appears to have been made less powerful, less efficient and more expensive during the car’s recent facelift. However, the £3000 price hike gets you a better-equipped car than in 2015, complete with drivercustomisable digital instruments.

In terms of real-world performance little has actually changed, contrary to what the new lab test specifications suggest. The four-pot ’Stang will still manage economy in the mid-30s on a mixed run and still easily feels brisk enough to rank as a proper sports car. Ford’s latest suspension revisions make for a more settled ride than before, partnered with handling that’s a touch more agile than that of the V8.
