The greatest rally car in history? It has a claim. Following the demise of fearsome Group B in 1986, Lancia ploughed on in the WRC with the Group A Delta – and won a record six consecutive constructors’ titles. Juha Kankkunen and Miki Biasion each claimed a pair of drivers’ titles as the car logged 46 rally victories, including three on Rally GB (or the ‘Lombard’ as it was in the 1980s). In Martini colours, the cool family hatch was transformed into a stagemunching monster.
