Ford has revealed the new Mustang contender that will represent its NASCAR Cup attack from next season, replacing the existing Fusion. An opening in the NASCAR regulations allowed manufacturers to move away from its stock car racing roots, with Chevrolet choosing to introduce its Camaro muscle car for 2018 and Ford taking a similar approach for ’19. Ford has not won a Cup title since ’04, when Kurt Busch was victorious with the Taurus.
