SAVE CASH WITH iChoosr ENERGY SWITCHING SCHEME to save money..

making it much more straightforward for households to switch providers.”

“I would definitely recommend it to anyone else who might be thinking about switching – the savings we will make speaks for itself.”

Couple Brian Kearney and wife Elizabeth saved an impressive £ 33 a month on their energy bills.

The Kearney’s learned about the scheme through their local authority and in July made the switch that has saved them £ 33 a month on bills.

“We live in a tower block and it’s mostly pensioners who live here,” said Brian.

“Just before Christmas last year the council came up the idea of joining a collective energy scheme to get us cheaper electricity prices.

“A collective auction was held in May and to find out the best tariffs from the energy suppliers.

“We’ve now moved to EON as they came up with the cheapest tariff and saving money, especially at this time of year is an early Christmas present.”

Supported by local councils, the Big Community Switch is a Councilsupported easy way to save money on your energy bills.

By coming together as a group iChoosr make the approach to the energy companies and through a national energy purchasing scheme, they then auction energy supply for householders within every local authority area in Scotland.

After the closing date of the auction, the energy companies will bid against each other for the opportunity to supply energy to the registered households and the company which bids the lowest price will win the auction.

The more homes in the scheme, the lower the price should be and if they choose to switch, iChoosr will negotiate the transfer and do the work for the households. If you want to cut your energy bills but can’t face the idea of trawling through price comparison sites searching for the best deal then collective switching is a good solution for you.

A lot of people are left in inertia doing nothing because they think they haven’t got the time to work it all out.

We create a more comfortable environment where customers feel safer gathering together with like- minded people to get marketleading energy prices.

We go to the suppliers and invite them to compete with their best offers.

The suppliers are willing to offer discounted rates to our group so they can win lots of customers.

We select the best deal and present one offer. So if a customer has told us they’re a dual- fuel customer with one supplier for gas and electricity, they’re offered a dual- fuel tariff, and we can tell them how much they can save by moving. They then have the choice to take the offer or do nothing.

Simplifying that means people actually do something.

The average saving we secured in our most recent scheme was £ 300 for each household which is a significant reduction.

At iChoosr, we look at the tarrif you are on now and how much energy you are using to let you know how much cheaper it would be to switch if you have the same consumption next year, so we are offering a genuine saving.
