Reach for the skies in airshow song contest
This year’s Scottish International Airshow is set to be the biggest yet – and they want your help.
Organisers of the Ayr aviation extravaganza are looking for musicians to record an official song for the event.
Cal Reid, assistant event manager, said: “The Scottish International Airshow is more than just an air display – it’s an event for all of the family with so much happening on the ground, as well as in the sky.
“Now in its third year, The Scottish International Airshow has seen a small entertainment arena evolve into a live music event, and we’ve seen the event on Planes TV and heard it on Airshow Radio.
“With the Airshow becoming even bigger, we’re now expanding our reach for our radio station – and every good radio station needs a theme song and a jingle. That’s where you come in.”
The winning track would be used in promotional videos, on TV and radio and performed at the Airshow on Friday, September 2 and Saturday, September 3.
And there’s even more incentive – with a £ 500 cash prize and a recording session in Glasgow with top producer Michael Bannister.
To be in with a chance of winning, your demo must be themed around flight, flying or aviation, with no profanity.
Performers must be able to perform at the Airshow and agree for organisers to edit the track for radio jingles and to use the track on the Airshow Radio Station powered by West FM for no additional royalties.
To enter your song, send entries as a private Soundcloud link to cal. reid@ tsia. scot by June 30, 2016.
