Tommy Sloan is urging Auchinleck Talbot to clinch two more pieces of silverware to put the seal on a glory season.

And he wants a vastly improved show in next season’s senior Scottish Cup.

The Premier League and West of Scotland Cup winners bid to close in on the Ayrshire Cup on Saturday when they head to Beith in the quarter- finals.

And they will also take their place in the end- of- season Champions Cup.

Beechwood boss Sloan, celebrating a fourth successive league title, said: “We let ourselves down last season when we lost to Cumbernauld so winning the league gives us a chance to rectify that. It has been a rollercoaster season and there has been a bit of criticism but winning the league and the West Cup is quite an achievement. Now we have two more cups to enjoy.”

Sloan is thrilled that keeper Andy Leishman has turned his back on senior interest and will stay at Talbot.

He said: “There were two or three clubs interested in him but Andy has told me he has decided to stay.”

The prize was a semi- final clash away to Renfrew on Wednesday evening.

On Monday Girvan were again taken to penalties to beat Cumnock in the Ayrshire Cup quarter- finals.

MAYBOLE threw away a 4- 2 lead to lose 6- 4 away to Yoker.
