31- year- old is placed on sex offenders’ register
A sleazy chippie worker slapped a woman on the bum during a spree of sexual assaults.
Leonardo Forte, who works at the Fish Restaurant in Troon, mauled two girls at the premises last year.
The 31- year- old has been added to the sex offenders’ register after admitting rubbing his body and privates against a 15- year- old girl.
The other female had her buttocks spanked by him at the Portland Street eaterie, Ayr Sheriff Court heard on Tuesday this week.
He was ordered to pay the pair £ 300 compensation each.
Sheriff Des Leslie described Forte’s behaviour as “unfortunate and distasteful.”
The Sheriff blasted: “This is totally inappropriate and very concerning given the ages of these girls.”
He said Forte took advantage of them but they had the “presence of mind to do something about this.”
Lawyer Bob Campbell, defending Forte, said: “He didn’t realise the consequences of what he was doing and apologises.”
He continued: “He accepts if this had happened to someone close to him he would not be happy.”
Prosecutors applied for Forte to receive a sexual offences prevention order, which closely monitors his movements.
But Sheriff Leslie said it was not necessary and described Forte’s crime at the “low level” of offending.
Forte, of Ayr Street, Troon, admitted sexually assaulting the teenage girl by placing himself against her, touching, rubbing her body with his hands and well as pressing his privates against her through clothing between November 1 and December 9 last year.
He also pled guilty to slapping his other victim between March 1 and December 8, 2015.
As well as paying compensation, he must undergo supervision for 18 months.
He will have to register as a sex offender for the same period.
