Ideal place for a family on a budget

-

Flying from Prestwick was ideal for a family on a budget.

Jennifer Smith and daughter Katy, 10, decided to have a last- minute break to the Costa Del Sol, flying to Malaga from Prestwick.

Jennifer, 40, said: “It seemed to be a really long winter, and constantly wet, so we decided we’d give ourselves a treat and have four days away.

“We booked through a travel agent, and were told we’d be flying from Prestwick if we wanted to go to Benalmadena - and were really surprised at how low the price was.

“We were more than happy to go with it, and we had a great time in the sun - Katy really loved it as she picked up a bit of a tan!”

Flying from Prestwick was a pleasant surprise for the family, not having been there for almost a decade.

Jennifer added: “I hadn’t flown from Prestwick for around 10 years, and I couldn’t believe the difference as soon as I got inside the terminal building.

“It looking so much brighter for a start - and you can tell it’s been done up recently.

“It looks great - the security staff were really friendly and explained what they were doing to Katy, which was fantastic. We’ve never had that when we’ve flown from anywhere else.

“They made a fuss of her and she loved it, as they had time to have a wee joke with her.

“When we came back, the baggage collection was a real surprise - there was no big delay, as it came through really quickly.

“We’ll definitely be back at Prestwick.”
