Classic bike show is 20

A music festival and bike show will celebrate its 20th anniversar­y this weekend.

Alba West returns to North Ayrshire’s shores to mark two decades of custom and classic bikes along with awards, sword displays and stalls.

Taking place at Stevenston’s Shore Complex – Nobel Business Park – the custom and classic bike show is penciled in for Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26.

Over 20 bands will play the festival including some artists that have been at the festival since the outset.

Compered by ‘ Captain Jack Sparrow’ rock, blues and Celtic bands all feature in the annual event.

Bands include: The Horns, Stone Pony, Up- shot, The Junk Yard Dawgs, Whumff, Big Licks, South of Sanity, Clandonia, Sixmilewid­e, Start- Static, Dead- Fire, Echo Valley, Losing Ground, Dog Tooth, Killing- FromaDista­nce, Old Bohemia, Spleen, Free Speech, Cuttin- A- Rug, Zulu and Banshee.

The under- cover, secure bike show will have best- in- show prizes, Scottish Claymore sword and Scottish targe shield trade stalls, food stalls and a late bar.
