CARING IN OUR Can you give support to troubled familes?
Home- Start Ayrshire is looking for home visiting volunteers and new trustees to join the charity.
Home- Start is a charity that offers friendship and support to families who are experiencing difficulties.
Families need support for many reasons:
For example parents may be experiencing a difficult separation, postnatal depression and other mental health issues, budgeting advice.
Perhaps they face multiple problems at once and/ or feel isolated and unable to connect with their local community.
All our volunteers receive ongoing support and training opportunities.
To become a home- visiting volunteer the only experience you need is parenting.
So whether you’re a stay at home mum with a couple of hours to spare or perhaps you wish to make new friendships and gain some valuable work experience, we want to hear from you.
We are also seeking some new trustees.
Trustees are people who help guide our scheme by supporting and managing the staff.
They come from all walks of life bringing their individual skills and experience.
A trustee should be prepared to donate around five hours a month to Home- Start Ayrshire.
Home- Start Ayrshire is based in Kilmarnock however we cover the whole of Ayrshire.
Parents can contact us directly or they can ask their Health Visitor or any other professional to make a referral to us.
If you are interested in volunteering for Home- Start please contact them on 01563526507 or you will find them on Facebook as HomeStart Ayrshire.
