Ladies are cream of the crop

Ayrshire’s Associatio­n of Business Women ( AABW) were the cream of the crop yet again as they triumphed at the ASB National Business Awards.

Across the nine award categories, Ayrshire businesses won three titles.

Fiona Rosamond of Hands for Feet won ASB Profession­al of the Year award.

Her company is a chiropody and podiatry practice in Irvine.

Joanne Robinson of The Little Art School & The Little Art School Trust SCIO won ASB Young Business of the Year award.

With schools in Ayr, Troon, Girvan and Glasgow, they deliver a structured art course and their charity organisati­on offers art classes for the lonely and vulnerable.

And Toni Dawson of Sugar & Spice Largs Ltd won ASB Business of the Year award.

Their retail shop in Largs offers specialist confection­ary, handmade chocolates, premium spirits and luxury icecream.

In addition, special commendati­on certificat­es were presented to the following Ayrshire based ladies:

Johanna Urquhart of William Duncan & Co, Margarette Bryan of Alex Begg and Linda Hill of LAH Travel.

Sarah Plant, AABW President, said: “It was an amazing night of celebratio­n and recognitio­n of the hard work our members put into their businesses.

“I felt incredibly proud of our winners and our entire membership who support each other no- end.”

In their 22nd year, the AABW are Scotland’s most successful networking group for business and profession­al women, run by a committee of volunteers.
