classes will resume on Thursday, September 29, at 7.30pm in Troon Primary School. This is a weekly class for adults and dancers of all abilities. New members warmly welcomed. Cost is £ 1 per session. Quiz A quiz and chips night in aid of Troon RNLI will take place in the Walker Hall on Friday, September 30, from 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £ 10 and this includes a fish and chip supper. There will be a licensed bar and raffle. Tickets on sale from the RNLI shop in Ayr Street. Youth club A youth club is now up and running in Muirhead Primary School for youngsters aged from P6 upwards. Maximum number 35 people. On song Youngsters at present in classes P5– S2 who are interested in singing are invited to come along to Marr Cantante where they can take part in three concerts held throughout the year, improve their singing and make new friends. The choir meet in Portland Church Hall every Monday evening from 6.15- 7.15pm and will welcome boys and girls. This venture is sponsored by South Ayrshire. Chess A new chess club is now open to players of all abilities – absolute beginners to advanced. The club is held every Wednesday afternoon in Troon Library at the following times: adults 2.153.30pm and kids chess from 3.454.45pm. Chess sets and instructio­n from the chess leader given during the session the church. Community sale The Rotary Club of Troon is pleased to announce that they shall be holding a community sale at Troon Concert Hall on Saturday, November 12. They welcome all vendors selling used items in good condition, as well as crafts, art, clothing, jewellery, toys, soft furnishing­s, etc. They also welcome charitable organisati­ons wishing to raise funds for their causes, or who simply wish to raise awareness of what they are doing in the community. The price of a table has been reduced to £ 15 to align with similar sales. A spokesman said: “Bring your wares and tell your friends. We have attached a poster for you to forward to your email contacts and we would ask that you help us to promote this event in order to attract vendors and attendees.
