Paying tribute to the brave
On behalf of the RAF Association I wish to publicly thank all the people who took part in the Annual Battle of Britain Remembrance Service on Sunday, September 18, at Prestwick War Memorial and at the Polish War Memorial at the RAFA Club to commemorate those who gave their lives in that momentous Battle.
Thank you to all the public who came and to Reverend David Clarkson and Father Patrick McSorley for conducting the Service.
Thank you to the Lord Lieutenant for Ayrshire and Arran John Duncan, and Jimmy Murphy of the Pipes, the Salvation Army Band and bugler, the Standard Bearers and Representatives of the Armed Service organisations, Inspector Alister Kelly and colleagues from Police Scotland ( Troon), Provost Helen Moonie and local councillors and dignitaries and the officers and cadets from Ayr/ Prestwick Squadron and Girvan Squadron ATC.
And, importantly, representatives from the Polish Community to honour those Poles who fought and died with their British and Commonwealth colleagues in the 1940 Battle of Britain.
It really needs to be totally dismantled and returned to its original state. because they’ve got a big car, then they can use any spaces. It’s so unfair on those of us who need the spaces.
Why not just park further away and enjoy a short walk?
US and UK support for the rebels in Syria led to the spread of the Islamic State into Syria.
At school our studies taught us to ensure sodium did not mix with water, nor phosphorus with oxygen. It’s time the US and UK Governments started studying.
