Celebrate the Cream of the crop and best of the West
Excitement is building up ahead of glittering ceremony
The best of the west will be celebrated at the annual West Sound/ West FM Cream of Ayrshire Awards on Thursday, October 20.
The glittering awards ceremony will be staged at the beautiful Seamill Hydro Hotel and Resort.
Now in its 10th year, the awards recognise heroes within the Ayrshire community.
Each year, listeners are invited to nominate people they think are deserving of recognition and the West Sound and West FM audience vote to decide the winners.
And now judges will begin counting the nominations for the 14 award categories:
■ The Child Bravery Award with A J Gallagher, Irvine.
■ The Up and Coming Youngster with G E Caledonian.
■ The Best Local Tradesperson of the Year with Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles Ayr.
■ The School Champion with Brownings the Bakers, Kilmarnock.
■ The Lifetime Achievement Award with Eydent – Alliance of Ayrshire Housing Associations.
■ The Local Music Award with the Ayrshire Post, Kilmarnock Standard and Irvine Herald.
■ The Toast of Ayrshire Award with the Seamill Hydro Hotel and Resort.
■ The Best Local Charity Award with The Burns Shopping Mall, Kilmarnock.
■ The Young Entrepreneur Award with The Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce.
■ The Contr ibution to the Community with Spirit AeroSystems.
■ The Best Local Pub or Club with Reid’s Food Service, Dalry.
■ The Best Workplace with Saxen Work Place Solutions, Newmilns.
■ The Unsung Hero with East, North and South Ayrshire Council.
■ The Good Neighbour Award with The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
