A princely place in Prestwick

On tee, train or downing a pint within a minute

- Stephen Houston

A prime location convenient for the town centre, station and beach.

That’s a perfect description of this traditonal red- sandstone end terrace.

It is in the rather royal address of Regent Park in Prestwick.

You can jog to the nearest pub in under a minute, the same to the beach and probably 20 seconds to catch the train.

As a member of Prestwick Golf Club you can avoid first tee nerves by coming straight from the house and driving off all within the time it takes some players to actually hit the ball. All in all this is the perfect town address for a growing family.

And with three of the four bedrooms ensuite, there will not be a queue for the loo. By appearance Regent Park looks to date from the late thirties or forties, an area of quality building.

Outside however there is a surprise, an annexe which has another double bedroom, sun lounge kitchen and shower room. A spot for teenager with a temper, an elderly relative or a great space for an office to work from home in peace.

A large parking area - accessed via Queens Terrace - can cope with six cars or more.

The gardens are walled, with lawns and mature shrubs and trees to front and rear.

Prestwick estate agents Hoppers say: “This beautiful family home is presented in immaculate condition with many original features.”

Homes of this size and era are relatively rare in Prestwick - especially so in this price bracket.

Agents are seeking offers over £ 325,000 for a house that is in walk- in condition.

The broad hall leads to the lounge then a separate dining room complete with shower room off. The hall has a lovely big cloakroom with window, absent from many houses.

The lounge with living flame fire features a traditional alcove and nice cornicing on the ceiling. To the rear you enter the dining kitchen with patio doors.

And further back is the annexe with the further accommodation and sun lounge.
