THE SEARCH IS ON FOR SIGNS OF EXCELLENCE
The search is on to find businesses in Ayrshire who commit to excellence and strive for improvement.
The 2017 Business Excellence Ayrshire Award opens next week and encourages small and medium enterprises to get involved. Following on the heels of the Ayrshire Business Awards, the award targets firms that strive to achieve another level of success.
A high- profile and prestigious award which recognises those small and medium enterprises who strive for continuous improvement in their business, it is split into two categories – Service and Manufacturing.
The winners of the 2017 award will be presented with their prizes at the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Platinum Annual Dinner at Trump Turnberry next March.
Nicola Sykes, Project Executive, Business Excellence Ayrshire, said: “The Business Excellence Award is a prestigious award and also a hugely beneficial process for your business.
“Past winners have demonstrated their commitment to excellence through the detailed and unique application process, which requires you to evaluate your own business and performance.”
Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce will soon start the process for Business Excellence 2017 on Monday, October 17.
The award is free to enter and open to any company with less than 250 employees in the manufacturing or service industry with the winners announced in Spring 2016.
The fundamental concepts of excellence can be recognised in top performing organisations be they large or small, for profit or not for profit. While the labels that are attached to these can sometime be off putting, there is no doubting the value to the business.
Previous winners of Business Excellence have included; William Tracey Group ( Irvine), Utopia Computers, ANCHO Ltd, Ashleigh ( Scotland) Ltd, Sigma Aldrich, The Cook School Scotland, Begg Scotland, Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems ( Prestwick), Brownings the Bakers and South Beach Holdings ( Scotland) Ltd.
The application can be found online ayrshire- chamber. org/ businessexcellence or by contacting Nicola on 01292 678 666.
