St Meddan’s Church Guild will hold a Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 19 from 10am until noon.

There will be a variety of stalls including baking, bottle stall and Christmas gifts.

Admission costs £ 2. Proceeds will go to the Church Project.

An annual Christmas Coffee Morning in Ayr St Columba Church Hall will take place on Saturday, November 26 from 10am to 12 noon.

There will be allthe the usual stalls including, baking, bric- a- brac, gifts, books, CDs, and so on.

The event is being organised by Ayr St Columba Guild.

Tickets are £ 2.50 and are available at the door on the day or from Guild members.

Everyone will be made most welcome.

The Young at Heart Concert will take place at Portland Parish Church on Saturday, November 26 from 2pm to 4pm.

There will be musical entertainm­ent with songs from the shows, light opera and a Scottish medley.

Afternoon tea will be served after the concert which is open to all members – irrespecti­ve of age.

The Samaritan’s Purse Operation at Portland Parish Church will close on Sunday November 13.

Donations of money and item for Christmas presents for children in war- torn countries are welcome.

Portland Parish Church in Troon is lining up some musical events.

David Hamilton, the organist at Strathclyd­e University and director of music at St Mary’s Episcopal Church, will give an organ recital at the church on Sunday, November 13, at 3pm.

Tickets cost £ 5 for adults and £ 2 for children.

Later this month, Portland Church will play host to a musical fundraiser for Save the Children.

Andrew McTaggart and friends will give an evening of musical entertainm­ent on Saturday, November 19, at 7.30pm.

Tickets costing £ 15 are on sale from the church office and Words and Music.

The Prestwick South Parish Church Guild Coffee morning will take place on Saturday, November 26.

Christmas goodies, jewellery and home baking will be on offer.

Tickets cost £ 2.50.
