Seaforth athletes are on the move

-

Ayr Seaforth athletes faced a new venue for the National Short Course Cross Country Championships which were moved from their usual home at Bellahouston Park to the King George V Park at Renfrew.

Unlike last year’s competition which was more akin to a swimming gala, the races took place on a very dry, flat and mudless course which made for very quick running over the short distances.

It was yet another chance for club athletes to race against Team GB Olympians as Scottish middle distance runner Laura Muir was competing in the senior female race which she won. Sadly, Seaforth had no competitors in this category.
