KILLER BLOW No way back after Adam’s header saved, admits McCall

a wee problem with his hamstring.

“I don’t think we made it easy for Hibs but you have to give them credit, they played very well.

“To be perfectly honest, our keeper kept it at 1- 0 in the first- half when it could have been two or three.”

Israeli internationalist Ofir Marciano had been largely redundant until he sprung into action in the 59th minute.

Ross Docherty drilled along the byline and his cut back was met full on by the burly Adams who powered a header goalwards.

It looked an equaliser all the way until Marciano somehow managed to claw the ball off the line with one hand.

Only a string of top saves from Fleming prevented Hibs from being out of sight at half- time.

The keeper threw up the shutters but was beaten after 28 minutes when Boyle ran on to a Lewis Stevenson pass and cut inside Daryll Meggatt before lashing the ball home.

Fleming had another marvellous save from Fraser Fyvie two minutes later after the former Dons man went through with only the keeper to beat.

Andrew Shinnie hit the post early in the second- half but Hibs got out of jail when Marciano made his miracle save to deny Adams.

Grant Holt lobbed wide after pouncing on a poor Meggatt headed passback before McGinn played in Boyle with a majestic pass and the striker shot under Fleming’s legs.

But the best was saved for last and with six minutes to go, Wembleybound McGinn raked in a sensational long range left foot strike after Fyvie touched a free- kick into his path.
