New role in chamber for Graeme

Graeme McKinstry LLB MBA NP, this week took over the reins as President of Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce.

Mr McKinstry is Senior Partner of legal firm, the McKinstry Company in Ayr and has been Vice President at the Chamber since 2015.

He said: “Being involved with one of the most active Chambers of Commerce in the UK is a true privilege and I’d like to extend my warmest thanks to my predecesso­r, Stuart Cresswell, for his hard work and commitment to the Chamber over many years.

“Ayrshire has unique challenges, through its mixed landscape of rural and industrial enterprise. The Chamber provides a forum for the voices of local industries to be heard as well as promoting innovation and networking. It also plays a key part in ensuring our young people remain skilled and integrated into the world of work.”

Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce CEO, Val Russell added: “The Board are all volunteers and freely give their time to support economic developmen­t within Ayrshire.

“Graeme is a very familiar face and the Board and staff of the Chamber are delighted to welcome him to the role of President.”

Graeme has been a member since 2012.

Over £ 3000 was raised for Alzheimer Scotland’s Kilmarnock Dementia Resource Centre at the Ayrshire Business Awards last month.
