Helen loses five stone with virtual gastric band therapy
In our countdown to Christmas we have been looking at ways to shape up for the festive season.
And in Ayrshire hypnotherapist Naomi Hill is helping people to shed the pounds using a virtual gastric band.
Therapist turned clinical hypnotherapist Naomi wanted to offer clients the chance to experience the Hypno- Band System .
She explains how it works: “It is a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy and hypnotherapy techniques that helps you explore, analyse and change your eating habits.”
“Then, using the mind/ body connection we fit a virtual gastric band to your stomach, helping you to eat less and less often.
“And I have helped hundreds of people lose weight since last year when I first opened the clinic in Ayr.”
Helen Nicholson from Ayr has lost over five stone using the virtual gastric band therapy.
“I have been working with Helen and the transformation is fantastic.
“She feels fantastic and has changed the way she thinks and feels about food, she has certainly developed better eating habits.”
Naomi also offers a second comprehensive weightloss program for Ayrshire clients.
Again, the focus is on developing a new attitude to food and eating.
Last week some of the clients who have been following the weight management program met to talk about their success in the centre’s new reception room - Fiona Paton, Dawn Flannigan, Lynn Ball, Kim Sweeney and Helen Nicholson.
Naomi explains why hypnotherapy can work for weightloss.
“I am a licensed Hypno- Band system therapist and I am the only practitioner in South Ayrshire.
“I also offer a wide range of other therapeutic services, including, but not limited to: sessions targeting anxiety and depression, a six week weight management program, smoking cessation, sports performance enhancement, and treatment for phobias self esteem and confidence.
“And during the summer I am always busy with sessions for people who have a fear of flying.
“I am also an Anxiety UK Approved Therapist providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members.
“I receive referrals from local GPs and more and more people are benefiting from hypnotherapy here in Ayrshire.”
Naomi finds January a busy time for the weightloss sessions.
“It’s the time of year I suppose people feel they can start a fresh and I have helped hundreds of people tackle their issues with food and gain confidence since last January.”
