Tommy now a record breaker
BROOMHILL COARSE FISHERY Tommy Mitchell smashed the match record on Bethany’s Canal with 132lb 12oz in only four hours.
Some of the guys had to pack up early due to the 40mph winds breaking their poles but the conditions didn’t affect Tommy who caught steadily from end peg 16 on last week’s Wednesday match.
Round three of the Frenzee Winter League took place on Sunday when winner was Tommy Mitchell ( Broomhill Tackle) with 71lb.
Sections: 1. Tom McCulloch 25lb, 2. Davey Mitchell 63lb.
Neil Branney was catching carp up to 5lb and 2lb Skimmers using the tip rod with bread and corn on the Carp Water.
The 2017 match calendar has now been finalised and all the dates are available from the fishery. SPRINGWATER FISHERY Fly loch continues to fish well.
