Bob aims to shift the pounds

-

loss.

Intake 1000 calories... energy output 999 calories = Bob being mistaken for a barrage balloon at the 2017 Air Show!

Eating and drinking less combined with exercising more is the way ahead... or even the weigh ahead!

Giving up tobacco two years ago extinguished one problem – but ignited another.

Working in a pub - 50 cans of Coke and 300 packets of assorted crisps were only an arm’s length away when the cravings kicked in.

Seventeen pounds in 17 weeks is achievable to most people.

But most people don’t enjoy my weekend breakfast which is usually a butcher’s shop display counter, lightly grilled, then served on a mattress of tattie scones.

Yes – something’s going to have to give. I just hope it’s not me... giving up.

The challenge will officially begin next week – well... I have got a mountain of shortbread and Christmas cake to see off first!

My “17- 17- 17 Challenge” will get regular updates in a wee corner of this page every week.

And if you fancy joining in – losing 17 pounds in 17 weeks – drop me a line at recordshields@ aol. com or write to me at The Post.
