Super Troupers and Dancing Queens are in for a real treat as Abbamania roll into town.

With almost two decades of experience, the band are worldrenow­ned for their faithful tribute to the Swedish pop sensation.

Kilmarnock’s Bellfield Tavern plays host to the band on Saturday evening, offering a great chance to hear classics in an intimate setting.

Elsewhere, the Harbour Arts Centre will see a performanc­e by rockers Dogtooth, organised by top Ayrshire promoters Freckfest, on Friday evening.

The band, formed at the Millport Scooter Rally in 2012, take influences from some of the UK’s best- loved bands such as The Who, Oasis, The Stone Roses and The Clash.

And for a special celebratio­n of Ayrshire’s original music hero, Robert Burns, head to Alloway Parish Church on Sunday.

The village’s Burns Club present Shall Brothers Be... at 2pm on Sunday, a celebratio­n of the Bard’s work and legacy.

As always, there’s a great selection of open mics, acoustic and jam sessions throughout the county.
