Playing it fly at Springwater
SPRINGWATER FISHERY The fly loch is fishing well with some good catches.
Mr Cooper two fish for 7lb c/ r six, Mr McKay two fish for 8lb 10oz c/ r three, Mr Stuart and Mr Watson two fish each for 12lb released 13, Paul Japp four for 9lb c/ r five, Robert Japp four for 9lb 4oz c/ r five, Graham Dempster c/ r five, Graham Bicket c/ r seven, John Brown c/ r six, Scott Crossan c/ r six, Jim Bicket c/ r eight including a 8lb 4oz rainbow, John Kane c/ r eight, D Mason two for 5lb 8oz, Hugh McLeod c/ r 10 biggest 6lb, Tam McNaughton c/ r eight including two brownies 6lb and 4lb.
The bait loch also fishing well. Mr King and Mr Miller four fish each for 20lb 11oz, Davie Kernachan six for 15lb 8oz, Robert Howet three for 9lb 2oz biggest 4lb 4oz, Zoe Howet three for 8lb, Brian two for 5lb 4oz, Mark and son two for 5lb, Paul Cocker three for 9lb, Mr McCormack five for 14lb 4oz.
The coarse loch is still quiet. Springwater bait competition is on Sunday, February 5. Bookings to 01292 560 343. BROOMHILL COARSE FISHERY Tam Penman won round four of the Frenzee Winter League ( Bethany’s Canal) with 48lb.

Work has started on the fly fishery and will open on Wednesday, March 1.
As well as all the weed being removed it will be fully stocked with rainbows, blues, brownies and tiger trout.
The onsite tackle shop will have fly fishing tackle and memberships are also available.
