Airshow visit is just the ticket

-

Tickets to a family zone at this year’s Scottish Airshow have gone on sale.

It follows the successful trial of the package at last year’s event.

A business lounge will also be added to the 2017 renewal, aimed at firms or individuals who want to entertain clients while watching the show.

Event director Doug Maclean said: “The airshow will always remain free to attend.

“However, we recognise that some people would like extra comfort and dedicated facilities and be prepared to pay for the experience.”

Organisers are expecting up to 180,000 people to attend this year’s airshow on the first weekend of September.

Doug added: “We remain dedicated to providing the best quality airshow possible and free access to all those who want to come and enjoy the flying festival weekend.

“Ticket sales starting so early is a sign of how much people enjoy the flying and also the huge number of ground attractions on the Low Green.

“If people use the official car park, buy an airshow programmme or a ticket to one of our special areas, they are all helping us grow the airshow.

“Their money goes directly into the airshow flying displays and helps us keep The Scottish International Airshow as the most popular family outdoor event in Scotland.”
