Seaforth go looking for a final fling

Ayr Seaforth line up in the third and final meeting of the Scottish Indoor League at The Emirates Arena, Glasgow, on Sunday.

And they will be looking to build on good performanc­es at the first two meetings.

U20 women: Kirsten McClymont: 60m 8.28 ( PB); Rebecca Campbell: 200m 28.03; Georgia Brawley: 400m 62.69; Jennifer McVeigh: high jump 1.32m, shot putt 8.41m ( PB). Prestwick Academy pupil Fraser Angus has continued his chase for qualifying standards for the Commonweal­th Youth Games.

The 17- year- old, who runs for Kilmarnock Harriers, won the U20’ s 200 metres with a superb run of 21.81 at the Scottish U20 National Championsh­ips.

Fraser now moves to the England Athletics u20 Championsh­ips on Sunday, February 26 with hopes of reducing his PB further.

Jack Edwards, 13, won the U15’ s 300 metres with a new PB of 39.19. Jack is in S2 at Wellington School and competes for Kilmarnock Harriers. He is coached by Douglas Harrower.
