Company has Buzz for workers

Hospitality giant Buzzworks has been named as a leading company to work for in the UK.

The Ayrshire firm, which owns a string of bar/ restaurants throughout the county, has been named in the top 40 of The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for 2017.

It marks the second year Buzzworks has featured among the top names on the prestigious list.

Managing director Kenny Blair hailed the achievement.

He said: “We are extremely proud of this momentous achievement and grateful to our talented team for showing their support for us once again.”

Businesses must employ at least 250 full- time employees and achieve one of the 100 highest Best Companies Index scores in order to make the list.

Buzzworks now employs almost 450 people across its venues.

And it recently announced its first venture outside of Ayrshire with the unveiling of The Coach House in Bridge of Weir.

Kenny added: “Our people are everything and we are proud of our family- like environment, with staff of all ages working together in close- knit teams to provide world class hospitality to our customers.

“We place a real emphasis on development and progression.
