Happy at their work
Staff at Turnberry Holiday Park have popped the champagne corks to celebrate a national accolade.
The team, headed by Lee Elliott, had an afternoon off to enjoy the fizz and a University Challenge quiz.
Their employer Bridge Lesiure claimed 82nd place in The Sunday Times’ nationwide ‘ Best Companies To Work For’ survey.
The Sunday Times asked more than 270,000 employees for their views about their employers and their working environments, helping to create the final rankings.
The 20 staff at Turnberry Par said they had fun with colleagues ( 84%), are not bored at work ( 76%) and wouldn’t leave tomorrow if they had another job ( 74%).
Bridge Leisure for giving all team members 27 days holiday and encouraging flexible working. The company was also congratulated for its rewards and recognition scheme.
Lee said: “As a holiday business, our number one aim is to ensure guests have a good time when they stay with us. Finding innovative ways of keeping our team happy and motivated is key.”
