The Coral Scottish Grand National Festival on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22 promises two days of top racing and fabulous entertainm­ent at Scotland’s premier jumps racing extravagan­za.

And we’ve got a VIP package for two to be won for the opening day.

Friday is the ultraglamo­rous Coral Scottish Grand National Ladies Day where the best dressed lady wins a two night trip to Venice for two, staying at the four star Palazzo Giovanelli.

After racing on Ladies Day, the band, recognised as the greatest Take That tribute act Rule The World, will perform in the Ayrshire Suite followed by top DJ Colin McArdle.

And in the Horseshoe Bar within the Club Stand, Angelstar will take to the stage for three hours.

One lucky reader could win a VIP day for two, comprising Club Badges to the meeting and hospitalit­y including a Bucks Fizz Reception, followed by a four course meal, afternoon tea and a drinks package.

The 2017 Festival boasts £ 615,000 in prize money with Friday’s highlight the £ 50,000 Hillhouse Quarry Handicap Chase, a Class 1 Listed Race.

The £ 215,000 Coral Scottish Grand National on the Saturday features up to 30 top horses jumping 27 fences over the four mile course.

Other top races on Saturday include the £ 105,000 QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle, the Jordan Electric Ltd Future Champion Chase and the Scotty Brand Handicap Chase.

After the final race on Saturday, there will be three hours of live music in the Horseshoe Bar in the Clubstand from the sensationa­l Replay while in the Ayrshire Suite Colin McArdle will entertain the crowds with chart sounds old and new.

On both days, there will be entertainm­ent before and during racing while on Saturday, before the first race, Emily Middlemas, the teenage Scottish singing sensation who took X Factor by storm, will sing ‘ 500 Miles’ in front of packed stands.
