Society dinner
The Glasgow Ayrshire Society held their 255th annual dinner recently in Western House.
The society provides financial assistance to people who are resident in Ayrshire and are in difficult financial circumstances , particularly the elderly and the infirm.
It can also give support to students to assist them with further education.
The evening was chaired by the Revd Fraser R. Aitken and the guest speakers were author Donald Reid who gave the toast to the City of Glasgow.
The toast to the County of Ayr was given by Revd. Alex Shuttleworth .
