Council won’t shell out for eggs

The group behind Secret Santa in Troon has been turned down for a £ 50 grant by the town’s community council.

TASS asked for the donation to pay for Easter eggs but TCC chairman Helen Duff said: “I don’t agree to it, they got money from the Troon Decides event.”

And June Thornhill added: “Why would we be giving them money when they have got money?”
