The Ayr Choral Union Spring Concert 2 will feature the following works by Johannes, Brahms: The “German Requiem” and “Song of Destiny” accompanie­d by the City of Glasgow Symphony Orchestra conducted by Gerard Doherty.

The concert will take place in Ayr Town Hall on Sunday April 2 at 7.30 p. m.

Tickets cost £ 10 to £ 14 from ACU members or The Gaiety Box Office.

Dates have been set for the next Catholic pilgrimage to Lourdes from Ayr. It will take place between July, 3 to 10, 2017. Booking Forms are available from the back of the St Paul’s and St Margaret’s Cathedral. The diocesan pilgrimage to Rome will take place between September, 10 and 17.

A Church of Scotland rural conference will take place in Ochiltree, with speakers discussing poverty in the countrysid­e.

Sowing seeds for a sustainabl­e future is the theme and the agenda will cover governance in rural churches.

Speakers from the Church of Scotland Law Department and Church and Society Council will be attending.

It will take place In Ochiltree Church and Hall in the village on Saturday, May 6 from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

If you go down to the Castlehill Woods on Saturday, April 1 you could be in for a great surprise.

The woods will be filled with young folks having fun at the Annual Bunny Hunt.

It starts at 9.30am the last outing being 11am.

Once all the bunnies have been found everybody will return to the Castlehill Parish Church Hall for a filled roll and a drink.

They will all receive a little chocolate egg.

Remember to wear suitable clothing and footwear.

The cost is £ 2 and there will be a craft table with all sorts of interestin­g items.
