A top optician has confirmed its commitment to Troon town centre by opening new larger premises as part of a £ 100,000 investment.

After more than 30 years on the town’s Church Street, Ayrshire- based Urqhuarts is moving to a prominent location on Portland Street which will more than double the practice’s capacity for both eye examinations and dispensing.

It adds to the recent refurbishment of the company’s Prestwick and Glasgow practices.

And it follows the rebranding and major remodelling of the independently owned group’s Kilmarnock practice in 2015/ 6.
