Top acts head for Prestwick

Live music fans are set to be bowled over at Prestwick Cricket Club.

Pitch up on Friday, March 24 for Bad Boy Boogie and a rock disco.

It’s a cricket club debut for the four piece rock cover band from Ayr. Complete with a raw, unique and energetic live show, their covers include Queen, Abba, Bryan Adams, Led Zeppelin, AC/ DC, ZZ Top, Guns n’ Roses Billy Idol and many more. Doors 7.30pm, tickets £ 5. The following night, Glasgow rock band The Audiorayz are on stage along with a rock disco.

Led by guitarist Iain Forbes, their musical influences are wide but classic rock and melodic music of any genre would list in the band’s inspiratio­ns. Tickets £ 5, doors 7.30pm. On Friday, April 14, there is live music with Five Wheel Drive and a rock disco.

Five Wheel Drive have classic rock covered, including Queen, Whitesnake, UFO, AC/ DC, Montrose, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Free, Deep Purple, Bad Company, The Who, ZZ Top, The Doobie Brothers to name but a few.

Some new crackers in the set to also look forward to. Doors 7.30pm, tickets £ 5 and are available in advance or on the door.

On Easter Bank Holiday Sunday, April 16, there is live music with Escapade.

The always entertaini­ng band returns by popular demand for a now regular Easter Sunday afternoon’s entertainm­ent. Last year they played a blinder to a full house. Starts at 3pm.

Children, families and friends all welcome. Burger van available for food. Tickets £ 7.
