Easter in Prestwick Prestwick Churches are hosting Expression­s of Easter to mark ‘ the one day that changed the world.’

The free event will take place on Saturday, April 15, from 10am to noon at Prestwick South Church Hall.

There will be an Easter egg hunt, face painting, Messy Church, live music and tea and coffee. Depression support A new support group for Christians battling depression and anxiety has been relaunched.

Happy Souls will take place at Holy Trinity Church in Ayr every month.

It aims to allow people to explore their experience of stress, depression or anxiety in a caring and confidenti­al church context.

The inter- church group will be facilitate­d by Joanne Doolan, Scotland coordinato­r for Circles Network, until the group is up and running independen­tly.

She gave a presentati­on about how to support those at risk of isolation. Representa­ntives from other churches went along to learn about Happy Souls.

Happy Souls will meet on the third Wednesday of the month in the MacAndrew Room at Holy Trinity, starting on April 19 at 7.15pm for 7.30pm. For more informatio­n contact holytrinit­yayr. events@ gmail. com. Lourdes pilgrimage Dates have been set for the next Catholic pilgrimage to Lourdes from Ayr. It will take place between July 3 to 10. Booking Forms are available from the back of St Paul’s and St Margaret’s Cathedral.

The diocesan pilgrimage to Rome will take place between September 10 and 17. Rural churches A Church of Scotland rural conference will take place in Ochiltree with speakers discussing poverty in the countrysid­e.

Sowing seeds for a sustainabl­e furture is the theme and the agenda will cover governance in rural churches.

Speakers from the Church of Scotland law department and church and society council will attend.

It will take place In Ochiltree Church and Hall on Saturday, May 6, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
