A heifer bought from the Queen’s Royal Jersey Herd at Windsor is the champion Jersey cow at Ayr Show. Proud owner is Joy Andrew of Oaklea Farm, Auchincruive, who runs the 20- strong Arranview Jersey herd. Joy’s queen of the ring is Windsor Grand Ivory, on her first outing after having calved six weeks ago. Joy makes it a double when she takes the reserve ticket with six- year- old dry cow Wellhead Zebres Dan who was production/ inspection winner at last year’s Royal Highland Show. Wellhead Zebres Dan had also been reserve at Ayr in 1990.
