A Prestwick- based construction firm has upgraded to new offices in the town.

Ashleigh Building has switched to new purpose built Ayrshire headquarters at Monument Crescent.

The development overlooks Prestwick Airport runway and has been in the planning for more than a year.

The firm employs more than 140 people across a range of professions and trades between offices in Prestwick and Dumfries.

Managing director, David Smith, said: “We are very proud of the new office, which has been specifically designed and constructed to allow us to meet head- on the challenges of the modern day construction industry.

“It has been a long term goal to build our own headquarters, and this fantastic new facility is a clear demonstration of our commitment to the Ayrshire area.”

The new base also includes a gym, with bosses looking to create a “work- life balance”.

David added: “The office, coupled with the recently opened premises in Dumfries, provides us with the necessary solid platform on which we can build on our successful Organic Growth Model.”
