Make tracks for treat at Millbrae

Beach rugby, a beer festival, live music and food – what more could you want to spend a relaxing weekend?

And with temperatur­es soaring this week, everything is set for a sizzling two days of packed entertainm­ent when Ayr Rugby Club hosts the first Land O’Burns Weekender on Friday and Saturday ( May 26 and 27).

It all gets underway on Friday at 8pm with the opening party when the tribute act ‘ Neil Diamond & Friends’ will have the crowds bopping with a mix of classics and a wide range of show stoppers.

On Saturday, there will be a beach rugby tournament, featuring some of Scotland’s best men’s and women’s teams.

The Land O’Burns Beer Festival from noon to 8pm is one not to be missed.

It will feature 10 of Scotland’s best independen­t breweries, as well as gin, wine and prosecco bars, live music and fresh, local food.

Camping is available with the campsite opening from 4pm on Friday. Tickets are £ 10 ( non- camping) and £ 20 ( camping), with tickets giving access to the whole weekend’s schedule of events.

Families are welcome.
