Your guide to the best gigs around Ayrshire

It’s another top weekend of gigs around Ayrshire, from jam sessions to a fantastic three- day festival.

The Ardrossan Music Experience takes place from Wednesday night until Saturday evening at the town’s civic centre.

Wednesday night features performanc­es from school groups, while Thursday sees a sold out performanc­e from the Stirling Austin Swing Band. Both begin at 7.30pm. On Friday, The Colin Kennedy Band, Tom McGuire and the Brassholes and Jo Harman take to the stage from 7.15pm.

And on Saturday Sonny Daze and The Restless Knights, The Hummingbir­ds and The James Hunter Six perform from 7.15pm.

As well as the fantastic festival line- up, this week will also see performanc­es from local favourites such as Big Licks in Kilmarnock on Friday, and Just Like Eddie at the Anchor Bar on Saturday.
