Your guide to the best gigs around Ayrshire

-

It is another fantastic weekend of gigs around Ayrshire, as well as some top open mic and jam nights.

The week begins with a jam session at Kilmarnock’s Bellfield Tavern and the ever- popular Treehouse Sessions at the Ayr pub, both tonight ( Wednesday).

Thursday evening sees more local acts take to the stage at the Acoustic Bliss open mic at The Twa Dugs – streamed online – as well as the jam session at The Wick in Prestwick.

On Friday the highlight is a tribute to The King of Rock ‘ n’ Roll himself, Elvis Presley, as Fisher Stevens performs hits from the rock icon’s back catalogue at Lyrics in Irvine.

Saturday night sees hard- working performers Just Like Eddie at the Anchor Bar and Jimmy Mac at the Black Bull, while Kilmarnock’s Bellfield Tavern plays host to another tribute as Combat Rock play punk favourites from Joe Strummer’s legendary band.

And on Sunday Ayr’s Gaiety Theatre plays host to ‘ Bye Bye Baby’, a celebration of the music of the iconic Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
