Biz week schedule unveiled

The line- up for this year’s Ayrshire Business Week has been announced.

The five- day series of events, now in its tenth year, will take place in venues across the region between Monday, October 9 and Friday, October 13.

Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce chief executive, Val Russell, said: “Ayrshire Business Week is all about providing opportunit­y, developing skillsets and growing the area’s economy.

“Each year, the Ayrshire business community turnout throughout the week for the chance to meet new customers, make new partnershi­ps, develop and celebrate the region’s economic successes.

“The programme is varied and offers something for all and I thank our supporting sponsors.”

The week kicks off with Business Gateway Ayrshire at Dumfries House with The Business Fairground: Riding the Rollercoas­ter on Monday, October 9 at 9.30am.

On the Tuesday, Ayrshire’s biggest business to business and trade conference takes place at The Park Hotel, Kilmarnock.

‘ Connect for Growth’ will see 100 stands with some of the area’s best businesses represente­d.

In a slight change to the format, the B2B conference will be shorter, the informal Connect Networking replaces the facilitate­d Tick Talk networking and there will be a special ‘ Ayrshire talks’ Made in Ayrshire and a workshop on media.

The week also includes the popular Women Mean Business Lunch, a Trading with China event and the Ayrshire Business Awards Dinner as well as session on skills and Modern Apprentice Community Challenge.
