Marr kids brew up

School pupils are brewing up success after a college course.

Six budding baristas from Marr College took part in a City and Guilds course at Ayrshire College that provides them with practical skills for the work place.

All the pupils passed the course – which involved making seven drinks in 16 minutes – and some even earned Merit awards.

Hospitality lecturer Ainsley Miller said: “It is a great qualification to help them get a part time job and even to help them decide to move onto a course with us.”
