Two prominent businessmen in New Cumnock are fined at Ayr Sheriff Court. James Tweedie, motor dealer, and John R Brown, Crown Hotel, failed to give notice to Ayr County Council that the ownership of a motor car, sold by Tweedie to Brown had been changed. The pair also failed to apply to have the vehicle’s registration transferred or cancelled. Sheriff substitute Broun imposes a fine of £ 3 on Tweedie and £ 2 on Brown.
