Mum’s the word at park
Baby bambis have been born in Belleisle Park.
The four new arrivals were jumping for joy in their new playground when the Post paid them a visit on Tuesday.
Our photographer Iain Brown turned into a deer stalker as he captured the fawns frolicking in the grass in the Ayr estate.
The shy creatures stayed close to their mums and cooled down in the shade of the ancient wall.
Council grounds maintenance co- ordinator Fiona Ross said: “It is just fantastic to see the new life. They have given the old deer a new lease of life. They are no longer sitting down. They are now part of a herd.”
There were only four deer left so the council recruited six more does to keep them company.
The young ladies have given birth to another four who are now finding their hooves in the park.
It is a DEER sight, alright.
